NOOS – L’avventura della conoscenza is Alberto Angela’s science and culture programme, broadcast in prime time on Rai 1. The original music is composed by Giuseppe and Ruben Zambon and released by Rai Com.
The work takes shape call after call, in the studio with the composers. Sometimes the guitars are grafted onto pieces already under way and still open, sometimes the guitar is the starting point from which a new piece takes shape, sometimes everyone plays together. Everything is recorded on the spot; the production then handles editing and mixing for broadcast.
The pace is that of television: you come in, understand the sound the scene needs, choose the instrument and tone that suit the rhythm of the programme, and deliver.
The result: the guitars heard in the programme’s music, across several tracks of the released soundtrack.
