Manuel Sirotti
Producer, Composer & Sound Designer
Manuel Sirotti is a producer, composer and sound designer. Born in Albenga in 1985, he lives and works in Turin.
His language grows out of the meeting between electroacoustic composition, acoustic instruments and sound design, and finds its natural ground in music for the moving image .
He trained on classical piano from the age of six. At seventeen he discovered the electric guitar and rock, a passion that at twenty-one took him to live in Berlin.
There he spent several years searching for an artistic identity of his own, playing alongside notable musicians. In 2012 the city’s electronic producers and DJs took notice: at the Watergate he was the first guitarist ever to play the club, with DJ and producer Martin Patino. That night led to live shows in Berlin’s other clubs and to studio work, between collaborations and productions with Florian Meindl and Enzo Elia. That period produced Desert on Compost Records, Drifting (Moscoman remix) on Freerange and Hinterhof Disco Dub on Black Pearl Records.
It was in those years that the need for a path of his own took shape, with production in his own hands. He returned to Italy and graduated in Electronic Music at the Turin Conservatory.
Much of his work is devoted to music for film, television and contemporary art. He played guitars on the soundtracks of Alberto Angela’s programmes NOOS and Stanotte a Parigi on Rai 1. In 2024, with Ettore Mancuso, he won the Seeyousound Frequencies Contest, awarded for a score that was “fluid, able to create a continuum with the sequence of the short film”.
Alongside this he pursues a personal research into sound, between record production and projects with artist collectives.
