Seeyousound X, Turin · Winners of Frequencies, live score with Ettore Mancuso
Frequencies is the original-score contest run by Seeyousound, Turin’s international film and music festival.
At the tenth edition, in 2024, Manuel Sirotti reached the final out of hundreds of entries and won the contest together with Ettore Mancuso, performing the live score in front of the jury.
Music and sounds were built from scratch on the images and then performed live, synced directly to the short film.
The result: winning the tenth edition, with a jury citation describing music that is «fluid, able to create a continuum with the sequence of the short film».
